About Us

Norwich Solidarity Movement (NSM) is a seed of grassroots social justice advocacy, firmly rooted in Norwich, UK. Our branches extend internationally, connecting with diverse creative communities.

The movement sprouted from three siblings, each asking, "What can we do?" United by love and upbringing in a blended family, we bring diverse backgrounds—reflecting our varied DNA, cultural heritage, and hues. Our familial experiences of navigating differences fostered unity, laying the groundwork for NSM.

As a trio of creatives versed in Art History, Material Culture, Social Media Marketing Management, Photography and Product Design, we employ our skills to organise community events. We envision NSM's growth through creative collaborations, aiming to educate, agitate, organise, and mobilise while centering the voices of those most affected by systemic barriers.

“The truth is, no one of us can be free until everybody is free.”

Despite its history of rebellion, Norwich's contemporary reputation for apathy motivates NSM to be a part of the existing movement to awaken the city to social justice topics. Meet us in cultivating collectivism, inclusion, and equity in Norwich and beyond.

We recognise Norwich's potential as a city enriched by its vibrant arts scene, universities, and diversifying population. By bridging divides and amplifying marginalised voices, NSM seeks to challenge harmful hierarchies and foster connections that transcend East-West dichotomies.

Join us in nurturing dialogue, learning, and fostering an inclusive community. Together, we can grow a movement that embraces diversity and unity, rooted in shared humanity.

Our NSM fundraiser is listed as a lower priority compared to community organisations operating in active conflict zones and marginalised communities. Donations to NSM will support educational and community events, with all proceeds forwarded to those directly impacted by the covered topics. Surplus donations to NSM will be redirected to urgent causes. Donation receipts will always be provided for transparency.

Before you do, please take a look at our fundraising page here, to see if there is a movement you would like to support first.
